The Sierra Nevada is Spain’s largest ski resort and a bit unknown, as few people associate Spain with skiing holidays. The area is the southernmost ski area in Europe, but with skiing at an altitude of 2-3 kilometers, the area is actually safer than many areas in the Alps. At the same time, the southern location provides good chances for sun on the mountain.

With 107 km of slopes and 37 lifts, the area is the size of many Italian or Austrian ski areas. There are thus opportunities for varied skiing for a week’s skiing holiday – but without the possibility of spending several days on new and unknown slopes.
